I like solving messy problems. Sometimes that’s design, sometimes it’s systems, usually it’s a mix of both.

I’ve always been interested in how things work, not just interfaces or products, but the systems behind everyday experiences. Growing up on military bases, I was surrounded by highly choreographed routines and large-scale coordination. Seeing how complex operations depended on clarity, timing, and shared understanding shaped how I think about systems today.

Before I ever thought of myself as a designer, I worked in retail and operational environments where details mattered. You learn quickly, in those spaces, how small decisions affect trust, flow, and the people on both sides of the counter or screen.

Design came later, but it felt like a natural extension of my experience and curiosity. I’m drawn to structure, patterns, and the quiet mechanics that help people move through complex things with less effort. Sometimes that shows up as UX or ecommerce work. Sometimes it’s content flow, typography, consistant brand deployment or automation. Often it’s simply noticing where something almost works and helping it work better.

I tend to think in systems, even when I’m working on small, everyday problems. Not because everything needs to be optimized, but because most things are connected whether we acknowledge it or not.

More recently, I’ve been actively following and working with emerging AI capabilities, particularly agentic and workflow-driven tools, as they move from experimentation into everyday use. I’m interested in where these systems meaningfully support decision-making, reduce manual overhead, and fit into existing processes without creating new complexity. As with any tool, usefulness matters more to me than novelty.

Outside of work, I find grounding in simple, tactile things: IKEA logic, my dogs, a fondness for kawaii details, artistic endeavors, and Gulf Coast sunsets with my family when possible.

This site is a place where my work and thinking intersect. It changes as I do.
